F99 in 1999

The suspension set up on F99 makes it an incredible performance vehicle. This race car has been called "The best handling car ever." by Carroll Smith, a renown racing expect and chief SAE design judge. F99 continues the tradition of being powered by a 250cc turbocharged engine.

F99 in England 1999

When I walked the course in England, I noticed that several of the cones were placed with the edge of the square base pointing outward.  I mentioned this to the organizer, and said “If you place the cone with the corner pointing out, it will take away about one inch of our driving line and it is difficult to remember which cones are parallel to the driving path and which ones are pointed out.”.  He said “Woods, if all you have to do is worry about how we place cones…”.  After the event I showed him the photo to the right, he said “Oh, I see what you mean now.”.
