UTA FSAE entry #01 is modification of the
#00 entry. Although the naturally aspirated 600cc engine
remained a stress and removable portion of the frame,
significant changes were made to the car drive-train to create
room for the rear wings. Both front and rear wings were made
from the same 4 member cast. These additions help the car
maintain road grip at 1.2 lateral G's. For reference most
production vehicles are designed for .8G's. Car #00 placed 8th
at national FSAE competition in
Detroit.
