Car #88 featured a triangulated space
frame with large side pods, a fabric body, a Kawasaki 600cc
engine, and a modified UTA EFI system. This car had a double
a-arm suspension and anti-sway bars front and rear. In
competition #88 dropped from 1st to 6th with a broken shaft in
1988, but brought back a fifth UTA National FSAE Championship
title in 1989. The #88 car is still in excellent condition and
is seen at almost every SCCA Solo II event in the Dallas/Ft.
Worth area.
