SAE International is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries. SAE International’s core competencies are life-long learning and voluntary consensus standards development. SAE International’s charitable arm is the SAE Foundation, which supports many programs, including A World In Motion® and the Collegiate Design Series.

This Collegiate Chapter has been chartered by SAE International and is subject to the Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the parent Society.

The purpose of this organization is to provide its members opportunities to gain broader insight into the engineering profession by sponsoring meetings which will bring practicing engineers to the campus, arranging field trips to research and engineering establishments, sponsoring student projects of engineering interest, and participating in local SAE Section activities. It shall also be the purpose of this organization to encourage good fellowship among engineering students and their teachers.

Formula SAE

UTA Racing is the Formula SAE team from The University of Texas at Arlington. Every year our team designs and builds a formula car to compete in the SAE International Formula SAE® Series against other universities across the globe.
